Called themselves A & K Law Firm I didn't recall the debt, nor would they send me verification of the debt. Claimed that they were both "taking me to court AND had a judgement". Left a voicemail telling to call for information or if I had any concerns, but when I called - they were very adversarial-said that they had sent me a letter 45 days ago, but they did not. Refused to answer any questions and kept hanging up on me. Very rude, angry and said that "I'd made payment arrangements in 2016 and 2021 but didn't pay". I never made any arrangements w/them at any time. I did my own research and found that I'd had an old debt from 2010 w/CashCall. There may have been a small past due balance due, or not - they have been trying to collect a 12 year old debt. The statue of limitation expired in 4 years, they are breaking fair debt collection laws and they repeatedly harassed me. i mentioned that the only type of loan that I may have gotten from CashCall might have been for an auto title loan that I paid off. The representative asked me to send proof of auto title loan that I'd gotten and paid in full two years ago. They wouldn't give me a street address, all I could get out of them was a fax number. A fax number to send my personal information, an auto title and any other personal data that they could acquire. Horrible people! They're either a bottom feeding debt collection company, a data mining scam, and/or criminals - either way, no money or data will come from me to them.
